What Our Certifications Mean

That’s why we’re proud to hold several industry certifications. Here’s a breakdown of why each one means we’re ready to serve you.

AS9001D

The AS9001D certification is granted by the Society of Automotive Engineers. When an organization is AS9001D certified, it means it meets “the requirements for aviation, space, and defense organizations.”

In order to be certified, we open ourselves up to annual reviews to ensure that our aerospace manufacturing services are up to par. This accolade also means we pay special attention to ensure no counterfeit products enter the market. It also means safety is our top priority.

ISO 9001:2015

STEWART Industries is very proud of our ISO 9001:2015 certification. This means we have demonstrated that we utilize an effective quality management system in our organization. The items we provide for our customers meet quality guidelines both for the client and for regulatory criteria.

In addition to proving we can provide quality products, this certification means we’re also continually striving to improve. It’s no wonder we’re such a fan of this one.

ISO 13485:2016

We’ve talked about this certification in the past, but it’s worth mentioning again. Since STEWART is ISO 13485:2016 certified, we demonstrate that we can meet strict standards for our medical device manufacturing procedures.

It’s important to note that it’s not a requirement to be ISO 13485:2016 certified in order to work with medical supplies. However, we decided to go the extra step to give our clients peace of mind and to ensure we’re performing at the highest quality.

HUBZone

We’ve also mentioned being HUBZone certified in the past, but since we’re such a fan of small businesses, we wanted to mention it again.

In order to be HUBZone certified, we must be a small business that is at least 51% minority owned. We must also be in a HUBZone, and at least 35% of our employees must live in a HUBZone, too. These zones are created in historically underutilized economic areas, with the intention of spurring economic growth. We’re proud to make Battle Creek our home, and to help the city grow and foster over the years.
