Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a must-have for workers on the front line. Unfortunately, the rapid spread of COVID-19 caught most of the world off guard, and there are extreme shortages for PPE on an international basis.
Our team is doing all we can to make sure PPE can get to the people who need it the most. Here are just a few things that have put us in a unique position to help out.
STEWART Industries is HUBZone certified, medical device certified, and minority owned. That means we’re the perfect go-to when it comes to creating, sub assembling, or warehousing the PPE our workers need.
Our team has 20 years of manufacturing experience, and we also have a warehouse inside of an FTZ. We can make PPE, store it, and ship it out to those who are tackling COVID-19 head on.
Reduced Transit Time
Did you know STEWART Industries is located right next to a large airport? Instead of waiting for shipments to come by rail or truck from the east or west coast, we can ship right from the Midwest.
The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport is big enough for cargo planes, but it’s not nearly as crowded as other Midwestern airports are. You can ship your product to us, we can pick it up from the airport, and then we can have it ready when you need it.
STEWART Industries’ FTZ Division can offer an expanded array of services to make shipping and receiving PPE cheaper and more efficient.
We offer tariff reduction and duty elimination for imports. When you ship products to us, too, we can hold them until you need to import them into the United States. That means reduced customs clearance times and a faster turnaround on your goods.
Our team also quality checks the goods that come to our FTZ. If the PPE you ordered doesn’t fit your quality standards, we’ll destroy it so you only have to pay to import pieces you can use.
It’s essential for businesses to work together now and protect those who are fighting COVID-19 every day as essential workers. Get in touch with us. We’d love to talk about how STEWART Industries can help get PPE where it needs to go.
